has now become a worldwide social language where strangers are able to communicate beyond their own spoken laguages, cultures, and ideologies. The power of body language in social dancing gives birth to millions of connexions between men and women internationally through social and special events, festivals, congresses exposing them to pleasure, sensuality and passion.


Montreal is the capital of tango in North America where thousands of visitors come to enjoy tango dancing.
Social dancing has many benefits, not only is it an excellent way to meet new people but also helps in understanding the opposite sex. Founded in 2005 by Jonas Iniguez, Gotan became a structured danse school and event production enterprise in 2008.
Gotan wholeheartedly focused in creating an atmosphere that promoted connexions between people giving birth to new friendships, couples and even families.
Gotan has served in training dancers of all levels inviting internationally renowned Teachers from Argentina to refine tango techniques, thus offering a high quality of teaching methods to all students in a warm and fun setting.

Jonas Iniguez
Gotan Productions' founder. Jonas Iniguez started his teaching journey since 2003. He is stage dancer of Ensemble Montreal Tango
& Ensemble Romulo Larrea where he performed in many theaters and events such as Wilfred Pelletier at Le Place des Arts and Vancouver- Alberta tour. He dance partnered with national & international renowned dancers such as Chantal Dauphinais and Marika Landry.
Co-Producer and Co-Choreographer of the 1h30 show "Milonga de mi Barrio". First tango show produced in Montreal with a dance company of 14 dancers. He trained all levels of dancers including semi-professional and professional. He is the creator and organizer of the successful Thursday night Gotan Milonga at the Cafe de Lima in collaboration with Yves De Lima.


Corinne Krikorian
Passionate about dance since a young age and about Tango since 2003, Corinne Krikorian started her journey in Montreal learning from experienced Argentine teachers such as Julio Otero and Tomas Howlin. She moved to Buenos Aires to deepen her knowledge and trained with renowned tango Masters such as Gustavo Naveira, Tate Di Chiazza, Mariana Dragone & Caroline Bonaventura to mention a few. Since her return, she has devoted herself entirely to teaching Argentine tango joining Montreal Gotan as a teacher, professional dancer and event organizer. She also teaches abroad focusing mostly on technique & connexion for she believes: "The only reason for mastering technique is to ensure the body does not prevent the soul from expressing itself". Now a co-owner of Gotan, she also takes care of a milonga (tango dance evening) where she promotes all sorts of Artists visual & other within the community by organizing special events. Inspired by her Masters, she hopes to transmit her passion and love for Tango and help her students to discover the wonders of this incredible dance. www.tangobellanima.com
Gerard Derminasyan
has been involved in the study and pursuit of dance since the age of eighteen. He trained in classical dance technique, dance sport, flamenco and tango. He continues to pursue the classical dance form
to transmit information on posture, alignment, anatomy, balance and technique in movement to apply to other dance forms. He currently dedicates himself completely to argentine tango.
Since 2002, Gérard dedicates himself exclusively to argentine tango
especially its classic form of tango salon . In 2006 and 2007 he trained with some renowned tango teachers in Buenos Aires including Fabian Peralta, Fernando Galera , Julio and Corina Balmaceda, Carolina Bonaventura , Christina Cortez, Osvaldo Zotto, Daniel Lapadula , Gustavo Naivera , Andres Laza Moreno and others. On stage Gerard has performed in different productions including Carmen (Opera de Montreal , Opera Lyra Ottawa), Un Dia Flamenco (National Arts Centre) , Abrazos (National Arts Centre), Alice in Wonderland (Les Petits Ballets ) , and recently in Buenos Aires with Ballet Mariposita (Tango) under the direction of Carolina Bonaventura and Francisco Forquera. In his teaching, Gerard emphasizes the walk and the connection in close embrace as the most important elements of Tango Salon. He gradually builds tango vocabulary as students learn communication, elegance, emotional connection and improvisational skills. He emphasizes technique to build, precision, smoothness and musicality. As much as performing, teaching is his true passion where he loves to transmit his knowledge on posture, alignment, technique of movement, and emotion using a holistic approach to dance.
